Low Parks Museum is now a four-star visitor attraction under the Visit Scotland grading scheme. The Museum offers a fascinating insight into the many towns and villages in this part of the Clyde Valley and has entertaining and informative displays about the history of South Lanarkshire. The Museum is based in some of Hamilton's oldest historic buildings, which were once part of the Duke of Hamilton's estate.
The fascinating story and regimental records and artefacts of the Cameronian (Scottish Rifles) Regiment, which disbanded in 1968, are included in the collection. The Museum also contains the house's original eighteenth-century Assembly Room, complete with its musician's gallery.
