This work is supposedly a pair to the portrait of the eminent Burslem pottery manufacturer Enoch Wood, in the same collection. After a long discussion on Art Detective, Wood's portrait is now satisfactorily attributed to the artist Henry Room (1802–1850):

But is this one of Wood's wife by the same artist? Or by the elusive ‘J. Andrews’, who was initially considered the painter of the portrait of Enoch Wood? Or by someone else?

This painting is now listed as by Henry Room (1802–1850) (attributed to).

Given that this is exactly the same size and of very similar style and quality it seems to me more than likely to be also by Henry Room.
Unlike the portrait of Mr Wood, the high res image of Mrs Wood did not reveal a signature. But I think we can go forward with a presumed attribution to Henry Room, given, as Andrew notes, this portrait is the same size as the portrait of Enoch Wood, husband of the sitter, similar in style and approximately the same date. It seems likely that they were painted as a pair. Unless any further information turns up, we can satisfactorily close this discussion.
