Artist born in England who settled in Paris, France, married to painter Pierre Gastaud. She studied architecture and painting at Burslem Art School, Stoke-on-Trent; painting at L’École des Beaux-Arts, Paris; also in Paris being student-in-charge at the workshop of Édouard-Georges Mac-Avoy, Grande Chaumière. Her painting style was described as “solely light – a light that she creates with a limited range of colours but with unlimited tones, which swirl tenderly …on round or oval surfaces…in stratified layers.” Showed at Salon d’Automne et Mai, Paris; Salon International de la Femme, Cannes; Salon de la Création, Bourg-en-Bresse; and Salon de Cernay. As well as group shows had six solo exhibitions in Switzerland and France between 1960 and 1992, the last at Maison des Arts et Loisirs de Sochaux.
