Printmaker, painter, draughtsman and teacher, born in Bellshill, Lanarkshire. He studied at Gray’s School of Art in Aberdeen, the Royal College of Art and in Delphi, Greece. He was etching printer with Peacock Printers, 1992; lecturer in printmaking at Gray’s in 1993; and was a visiting lecturer in printmaking at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee. Awards included George Davidson Scholarship to Ireland, 1990; a Fleur Cowles Award for Excellence and Atlantis Paper Purchase Prize, both 1992; and a Bob Bain Memorial Bursary, 1993. Showed at Aberdeen Artists’ Annual Exhibition at Aberdeen Art Gallery from 1988; RSA from 1990; Scottish Prints & Monotypes, Lamont Gallery, 1993; and Royal Over-Seas League Open, 1994. Solo exhibition at Thackeray Gallery, 2001.
