Painter, printmaker and teacher who studied at West of England College of Art, Bristol, having attended Malvern College. He was commissioned as a Sandhurst-trained officer in the Army in both World Wars. Showed at RA, RWA to which he was elected in 1972 and NEAC. Ministry of Works and public galleries in Cheltenham and Gloucester held his work. Was a member of Cheltenham Group of Artists. Lived at Leckhampton, Gloucestershire.
