Painter of portraits who was by profession a costume designer for the stage, television and films, 1960–78. Bond completed a foundation course at St Martin’s School of Art, 1956–7. She studied art at City and Guilds of London School of Art, 1978–81, and the Royal Academy Schools, 1981–4. She was included in The Spirit of London, Royal Festival Hall, from 1982; RP from 1983; RA Summer Exhibition from 1984; and The Discerning Eye, Mall Galleries, 1991. She was elected a member of the NEAC in 1989 and RP in 1992. Later exhibitions included Alresford Gallery, Hampshire, 1998; National Portrait Gallery, selection from the RP Annual Exhibition, 1998–9; People’s Portraits, a United Kingdom RP tour, and Woodgates Gallery, East Bergholt, both 2000; and Selected Drawings at Glyndebourne Opera House, Glynde, 2001.
