Painter who was born and lived in Liverpool, studying at the School of Art there, in London and at Académie Julian in Paris. He was president of both the Liverpool Academy and Liverpool Sketching Club and showed extensively at Walker Art Gallery which holds his work, as does Harris Museum and Art Gallery, Preston. Also showed at RCamA, RBA, RA and RI.
