Painter and teacher, brought up in Sussex, living for a time at Herstmonceux. She was married to the painter David Chapman. Educated in Hove, she studied art at Brighton College of Art and Crafts, 1949–55, with Raymond Cowern and Charles Knight. Taught at Eastbourne School of Art, was a member of the Eastbourne Group. Her work, signed Anthea C, is in the collections of the Tel-Aviv Museum, Israel, and Stoke-on-Trent City Museum and Art Gallery.
