Painter and teacher, born in Perth, Scotland. He attended Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee, 1962–7, then Royal College of Art, 1966–7. He gained a British Institute Award in 1973 and a Latimer Award. For a time he lectured at Duncan of Jordanstone. Among group exhibitions in which he was included were RSA Summer Exhibitions from the early 1970s, Six Dundee Painters at the local art gallery in 1974 and A Choice Selection at Fruitmarket Gallery, Edinburgh, 1975. Scottish Arts Council and Scottish Television hold his work, which included figurative, highly decorative canvases.
