Painter and printmaker of landscapes, animals and birds. Born in Betws-y-coed, Wales, after an international schooling Dugmore studied art in Italy and America. He went on to travel widely to study wild life in Europe, America, Africa and Asia, sometimes lecturing. He also wrote magazine articles and published many books, including Nature and the Camera and African Jungle Life. Lived in Christchurch, Hampshire, and was president of the Southbourne Art Society, 1947–50.
