Painter and draughtsman, born in Aberdeen, where he studied at Gray’s School of Art, 1957–9. He then painted full-time, based in Belmont and Wasps Studios in Aberdeen, eventually settling in Edinburgh, where he exhibited at RSA from 1981. Also showed in Members’ Drawings, at Peacock Printmakers, and Inaugural Exhibition, Artspace Galleries, both Aberdeen in 1980; and Cleveland 5th International Drawing Biennale, 1981. Gray’s and private collections in Britain and America hold Duthie’s works.
