Painter, born in Nelson, Lancashire. He took a business training for six years before attending art school in Bristol and studying for a Master of Philosophy degree at Reading University. Showed in RA Summer Exhibition and had solo show at Sandford Gallery, 1981. His multi-image Desert Painting No 3, of 1979, was included in Arts Council tour Fragments Against Ruin, 1981–2, and is now in the collection. Lived for a time in Coventry, Warwickshire, and was also known for a series of family portraits.
