Painter, draughtsman and teacher, born in Berlin, Germany. He studied and worked in Germany, Czechoslovakia, Italy, Belgium and England before moving to Wales in 1940, in the mid-1940s settling in Dowlais, Glamorgan. For 15 years he taught art to children and adults at the Art Centre there, worked and taught in London and then went on to teach at Liverpool Polytechnic. Showed in the WAC 1968 show Art in Wales 1900–1956, with 56 Group of which he was a founder-member, SWG, SEA and elsewhere. Had a number of solo shows at Beaux Arts Gallery, also at Glynn Vivian Art Gallery, Swansea. A fine draughtsman-painter, witness his Head, in Arts Council collection.
