Painter and teacher, brother of the artist Keith Stephen Lucas. He studied at Beckenham School of Art and Royal College of Art and gained a travelling scholarship in 1949. Taught at Ravensbourne, St Martin’s School of Art and Royal Academy Schools. City of Plymouth Museums & Art Gallery holds his work and a portrait of Lucas by Stephen Bullard was included in Belgrave Gallery’s exhibition Camberwell Artists of the 40s and 50s, 1988. Lived in Beckenham, Kent.
