Painter, born in Enfield, Middlesex, who studied at Loughborough College of Art and Design, 1987–90, then Royal Academy Schools, 1990–3. Showed in Northern Young Contemporaries at Whitworth Art Gallery in Manchester, 1989, and RA Summer Exhibitions from 1991. In 1989 MacArthur was joint first prizewinner in John Player Portrait Award, leading to a National Portrait Gallery commission, and she won a prize in 1993–4 John Moores Liverpool Exhibition with a jokey multi-portrait acrylic on canvas. Lived in London.
