Painter in oil and watercolour, mainly of landscapes, and museum curator. He studied at Brighton School of Art under Louis Ginnett and at Regent Street Polytechnic School of Art with Harry Watson. Went on to become curator of Dudley Art Gallery, 1933, and was a founder-member of both the Dudley Art Circle and the SEA. Exhibited RA, RWS, RSW, NEAC, RBSA and elsewhere. Art galleries in Dudley and Kidderminster bought his work, which often featured Black Country scenes. Lived at Halesowen, near Birmingham.
