Artist, born in Glasgow, who studied at Edinburgh College of Art, at Fleisher Institute in Philadelphia and at Goldsmiths’ College. Group exhibitions included Whitechapel Open at Whitechapel Art Gallery, 1989; Leicester Schools Exhibition, Beaumanor Hall in Leicester, from 1990; and Royal Over-Seas League Open, 1996, where Martin showed part of a series of 100 heads made in preparation for larger-than-life sculptures. Solo shows included Horsemen At An Obelisk, Queen’s Hall, Edinburgh, 1984. Leicester Education Department holds his work.
