Painter and printmaker, born and lived in London, husband of the artist Patricia Mynott and father of the artists Lawrence, Gerald and Katherine Mynott. He studied at Slade School of Fine Art, 1946–50, with Randolph Schwabe and William Coldstream. Was a member of RBA and NEAC, also showing in mixed exhibitions at RA. Had a solo show at RBA Galleries in 1953, later ones including RA’s Business Art Galleries from 1983. Won Lord Mayor of London’s Annual Art Award, 1972; Silver Medal at Paris Salon, 1974; and Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers’ Award, 1987. Tate Gallery holds his work.
