Landscape painter who studied at London University. He was a prolific exhibitor, showing work at the RA, Alpine Gallery, Goupil Gallery, NEAC, LG and in the provinces. One-man shows in London, Paris, New York and elsewhere on the continent. Work in many international collections, including Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge, British Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum and Imperial War Museum. Wrote An Artist’s Experience, an autobiographical notebook, a new edition of which appeared six years before he died. Lived in London.
