Painter, born in Bournemouth, Hampshire, who was an engineering craft apprentice, 1962–7; then attended Trent Polytechnic, Nottingham, graduating as a teacher, 1975–8; and Croydon College school of art and design, 1978–9. He was a prizewinner at Amateur International Exhibition, 1973; showed at RA Summer Exhibition from 1974; with ROI, 1978; and Wapping Artists Open Studios from 1982. Lived for a time in London.
