Painter and teacher, father of the artist Sophie Reason. He studied at Royal College of Art, 1951–4. He won a travelling scholarship to Spain, held a fellowship in fine art at Nottingham University, 1959–62, and was director of art at Morley College, 1972–9. Mixed exhibitions included LG, RA Summer Exhibitions and New Grafton Gallery. Solo exhibitions included Beaux Arts Gallery from 1958 and latterly Brighton Museum and Art Gallery, 1986, with a retrospective at Morley Gallery, 1995. Arts Council holds his work. Lived at Tregaron, Dyfed, Wales.
