Printmaker who gained a first-class honours degree at Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen, 1989–93, then a higher diploma in fine art at the Slade School of Fine Art, 1995–7. Among prizes and awards, later ones included Anne Wishart Purchase Prize, SSA, 1996; Printmakers’ Council/Gainsborough’s House Print Workshop Residency, 1997; and Aberdeen Artists’ Society/Shell Expo Award, 2nd Prize, 1998. Roberts was interested in creating one-off images, mainly by printing heavily worked etching plates on monoprints, the resulting images often being curious, perplexing figures. Exhibitions included New Contemporaries, Compass Gallery, Glasgow, 1993; RSA Annual, 1995; and Printmakers’ Council National Open, 1997. She had solo shows at Peacock Gallery, Aberdeen, 1998, and Gainsborough’s House, Sudbury, 1999.
