Artist, born in Czechoslovakia, who moved to England in 1939, settling in London. She was awarded a British Council Scholarship to the Regent Street Polytechnic School of Art on the recommendation of Oskar Kokoschka. In 1982 was elected a fellow of RE, where she had shown regularly for a decade. Was a contributor to many other mixed shows, including RWA, Industrial Painters’ Group at the Guildhall Gallery, Bankside Gallery, Camden Arts Centre, Whitechapel Gallery, Phoenix Gallery in Lavenham and elsewhere, including America, France and Russia. Had a series of solo exhibitions, including Boundary Gallery, 1990. Also exhibited with Ben Uri Art Society, had a solo exhibition there in 1961 and is in its collection, also in the collections of Guildhall Library, Ashmolean Museum in Oxford, Camden Libraries, Greater London Record Office and Royal Commission on the Historical Monuments of England.
