Painter and poster designer, born in London. Studied at Académie Julian in Paris, Goldsmiths’ College School of Art and in Italy, having won a gold medal and travelling scholarship. He did a considerable volume of work for railway and shipping firms and was an official camouflage artist during World War II. Exhibited RI especially, also RA, Fine Art Society, Ridley Art Club and RWA. Public galleries in Liverpool and Bristol hold his work. Lived in London where he was a member of Art Workers’ Guild from 1924.
