Painter, illustrator and printmaker, born in London. Studied at L’Académie des Beaux-Arts, Antwerp, in London and the Netherlands. Exhibited RA, RBA, NEAC, Goupil Gallery, PS, Paris Salon, in Italy and America. He lived in Sussex for some years. Verpilleux sometimes reversed his initials when signing work. The British Museum, Victoria & Albert Museum, British provincial and some foreign collections hold his work. Later lived in Pembroke, Bermuda.
