Painter and printmaker noted for his sunlit French scenes. Verrall was born in Northampton and studied at the School of Art there, 1961–6. He became a full-time professional painter in 1970 after two years as a commercial artist and four in picture conservation. Verrall showed at RA Summer Exhibitions from 1976, the year after he won a Royal Horticultural Award for a botanical drawing. Solo shows included Upper Grosvenor Gallery, 1972; Langton Gallery, 1977; and Catto Gallery, from 1993. Lord Mayor of London owned his work. Lived in Woking, Surrey.
