Painter in oil and watercolour. Studied at Sheffield College of Arts and Crafts, 1920–5, under Henry Hoyland. Exhibited RA, Graves Art Gallery, Sheffield, RBSA and elsewhere in the north of England. Lived in Sheffield, where he was honorary president of the Society of Artists just after World War II.
