Artist and teacher, born and lived in London, who studied sculpture gained a bachelor’s degree at Birmingham Polytechnic, 1984–7, and master’s at Royal College of Art, 1987–90. Her work was concerned with the disorientation of scale. Group shows included Whitechapel Open at Whitechapel Art Gallery, 1990; The Curator’s Egg, Anthony Reynolds Gallery, 1994; and in 1995 On the Edge, Galerie Vaclava, Spaly, Prague, and Venice Biennale (Wright’s exhibit was based on the Venice, Milan and Rome telephone directories). Her commission Mini Escort was included in 1999 in Riverside at Norwich School of Art & Design, where she also taught. In 2000, Mini Escort and other works were exhibited at Christchurch Mansion, Ipswich, also with Contemporary Art Society Projects at The Economist in 2001.
