Here the Virgin is shown within a Mandorla (in religious art, an almond-shaped aureole of light surrounding the entire figure of a holy person), supported by flanking angels, with Saint Thomas kneeling lower left and holding her girdle.

The panel shows God the Father in benediction above, flanked by musical angels. Traces of original polychrome decoration remain, especially the green of the Mandorla and upper flanking angels wings, the red of the Virgin's cape and the musician angels’ wings. There is a characteristic daisy pattern on a green ground at the bottom. Mary’s hands express a conventional attitude of surprise and joy. She wears three crowns as she has been crowned by God the father, God the son and the Holy Spirit.
