A large memorial pool with a fountain in the centre. At one end of the pool is a colonnade of four-sided stone columns in a stepped U-shape. At the centre is a semi-enclosed temple formed by a tall rectangular panel of stone filling the space between two columns and a roof surmounted by a small stone dome. The theatres of the First World War are carved in the stone panel facing the pond and on the inside of the temple space there is a metal inscription plaque and a stone altar table.
