A Latin cross with a moulded foot on tapering shaft on a tall square pedestal and two shallow steps. There is a carved laurel wreath at the foot of the shaft on all four sides. Below each wreath is a shield. Plaques are on all four sides of the base. One bears the dedication, and one the quotation. The First World War names are on the two side plaques. World War Two names are on smaller plaques added to the bottom on the two side faces. The lettering is in elaborate Roman capitals with a few words in Gothic for the dedication.
