'The piece is entitled "Construction – San Gimignano" and was completed in 1994 when I made drawings in the countryside near San Gimignano – a kind of "Rustic Temple" made from odds and ends to hold goats or chickens… but with pillars and a "pediment" shape which attracted me', Barbara Balmer, 2005.
