A statuette of an Imperial guardian lion or Dog of Fo, possibly from China. The animal’s front left paw is standing on a flower ball, indicating it is male. The two wooden pegs on its base are in order to attach it to BORGM:1973.74a, also in the Russell-Cotes Art Gallery & Museum collection.
