Children from all seven local authorities along the Millennium Link were involved in designing this sculpture to commemorate the Falkirk Wheel’s tenth birthday. It was unveiled by HRH the Princess Royal. The children explored their own particular stretch of the canal both historically and looking to the future. Every child also made a paper chain wish for the canal’s future and created sculptures using the iconic shapes from the wheel. The final artwork reflects the children’s interpretation of something unique and special to them and their area’s waterway of the Forth & Clyde and Union canals.
