The first of a pair of roundel sculptures. This piece shows a three-quarter length figure of a young male gymnast, dressed in a tunic. The work was one of two that were created by the artist for the ‘Oooooh Art’ collection and exhibition at Bruce Castle Museum, as part of the Cultural Olympiad programme for the London Olympics in 2012. The image of the gymnast is raised against the background of the clay disc.
