An Indian decorative stone block or tile from a temple, carved in low relief, depicting the Hindu goddess Lajja Gauri (goddess of fertility and abundance) about to give birth. She is holding a large leaf in each hand and is framed with a decorative boarder. The work is enclosed in a wood box, stained black. The lower right-hand corner of the block has been damaged and partly repaired with another material.
