A colourful and detailed watercolour of a vessel tied up at the harbourside. Whilst most of Knox's watercolours provide fleeting impressions and very little detail, this painting provides a relatively detailed record of the harbour side and its warehouse buildings, together with the track running alongside the harbour and a crane for loading and unloading the vessels. Although most of his watercolour sketches are untitled and unidentified views of the Manx and English landscape, this has been identified as having been painted by Knox when he was at Littlehampton in Sussex, England.
