The sculpture consists of a young woman wearing a floral crown, with her left hand raised to her mouth and her right hand resting on a tree stump. It is inscribed with the monogram 'L. S.' on the base. It was carved for the marble bath of Schloss Hohenschwangau, Bavaria, a full-size plaster cast of which was held by the Schwanthaler Museum until the Second World War, during which it was lost or destroyed.
