A Chinese (?) soapstone carving of three monkeys or apes with protruding eyes. The group consists of a larger ape, probably a mother, with two young. The larger ape is looking to the left with its arms extended and hands resting on the heads of each young ape. The sculpture is decorated and is carved from dark-brown coloured soapstone. The base section appears to be missing.
