Reginald Duncan was born in Georgetown, Demerara, British Guiana on 21st July 1884. He died on 18th February 1909 at 22 Nethergate, Crail. Sadly, he was only 24 and it is believed that he was unwell for some time.

This painting reflects the view from the artist's bedroom window.
