'The Falcon Inn' at Beccles had a 'cockpit' at the rear in which John Wesley preached in 1776. It had various uses (other than cock-fighting) such as in 1795, a local printer set up business there. Although the Inn was one of the oldest buildings in the town it was demolished in 1962.
