A half-size plaster statue of Robert Burns by Dunfermline-born Amelia Hill. This sculpture is a scaled-down version of her celebrated statue which now stands in Dumfries. The plaster statue was presented by the artist to the Carnegie Library. The sculpture depicts Burns resting on a tree stump, with his right hand to his chest and his left hand on his knee. His border collie Luath is lying down at his feet. The sculpture has been painted in black with a bronze-coloured finish.
