Dorothie Field
1915–1994
Painter, draughtsman, art promoter and teacher, born in London, who sometimes signed work Dorothie Langridge. She studied at Highbury Hill School (with Nan Youngman), 1927–31; Chelsea School of Art (teachers including Henry Moore), 1931–2; Nottingham School of Art, 1933–6; and Birmingham University, for a social services diploma, 1941–2.
