Best known for his paintings of industrial Wales, Tony Evans spent his early years in Cardiff before moving to Llanelli in 1968 to take up a new job as a production engineer. He was an exceptional draughtsman and prepared detailed sketches and historical studies for his finished paintings. He was a regular exhibitor with the Llanelli Art Society.
