On the right of the road is a two-storey house showing two upstairs and two downstairs windows, and part of a front step. On the pavement near the steps is a seated cat and, at the house corner, a walking dog. In the centre of the road is a woman in a long skirt. To her left are two small girls, and coming round the corner are a man, woman and two boys. In the background behind the trees is a large house with a high wall, and from behind the wall rises a square tower with a large cross on top.
