Set in a purpose-built raised garden platform made from rendered brick and topped with coping stones, the metal sculpture – derived from part of the water main beneath the ground of Bembridge and secured from Southern Water by the artist – sits upon a circular concrete plinth which is painted white. The sculpture has been allowed to oxidise so as to reveal its natural colour. In addition, a time capsule has been buried in concrete underneath the sculpture which includes contents from Bembridge Heritage Centre and Bembridge Parish Council, a copy of the Parish News and a photo catalogue: 'A Moment in Time'.
