The yacht 'Tartar' at sea in full sail with buoy in foreground and headland with lighthouse in background under stormy skies. In the 1870s, the 'Tartar' was owned by Benjamin Cuff Dover Greenhill. His widow, Sarah (née Chappell) married Herbert Thellusson of Brodsworth Hall in 1885. This and another painting of the 'Tartar' must have come to Brodsworth through her.
