Bryan Kneale is one of the most accomplished of the modern generation of Manx artists. In his early career, he excelled as a painter but later searched for new directions, emerging as a sculptor, having learnt the art of steel welding along the way. This piece was inspired by Kneale’s work on the bone collection at the Natural History Museum.
