A wooden, shoe-shaped sculpture, painted blue with pearlescent painted waves cascading down the front and a gold leaf ship coming out of its top. This sculpture was inspired by the passenger ship 'Willem Ruys', which in the 1940s brought together two cultures, as the trip took the designer’s parents from Asia to Europe.
