Emma runs Emma Mason Gallery based in Eastbourne, East Sussex. The gallery specialises in work by artists working in Britain from the 1940s onwards and has a particular focus on printmaking.

Emma has a degree in History of Art with Italian from the University of Leicester. After a career using her languages working in the fresh produce industry, she moved to Sussex and changed direction, setting up her gallery in 2004. Emma champions often overlooked artists whose work she admires. She has written several books and regularly writes articles on the artists she represents. Emma has curated exhibitions both in her gallery and with others, most recently being guest curator of 'Barnett Freedman: Design for Modern Britain' at Pallant House Gallery in 2020.
